The Alan Waltz Entertainment family keeps growing, and Jay-R Salazar is our newest addition to the AWE team! Jay-R brings his years of experience and his passion for dance to every event.

Jay-R has been dancing for over 15 years and currently dances with DS Players and Fresh Dynamix, as well as being a lifetime member of Nu-Origin Dance Crew. He’s active in the dance community in a variety of ways: whether on stage, in battles, or coordinating various events. Besides being an exciting performer, he has also taught and choreographed in the San Francisco/Bay Area, in addition to teaching overseas with the Passion Society in the Philippines. He is also involved with the All the Way Live Foundation.

Jay-R has said that he considers himself a lifelong student of dance and grows as a dancer by sharing his knowledge and teaching others.

Have you been missing one of your favorite DJ’s / Bboys? Well, fret no more! Matthew Perez, aka “Matt Action”, is back and better than ever, fresh off a year abroad in Japan!

Matt is a double major at San Jose State University, with Japanese being one of his majors, so it was the perfect opportunity to immerse himself in Japanese culture while studying at Tokyo’s Waseda University. Not just content to study the language, Matt said, “I spent a lot of my time hanging with Japanese dancers and getting to learn how they perceive dancing and music.” Matt even travelled to Taiwan and won their National Bboy Day Bboy Battle!

Alan Waltz Entertainment welcomes Aaron “A-Bomb” Horner to the AWE family!

Guaranteed to get any audience on their feet, Aaron is our newest MC, DJ, and day-of-event coordinator, so we do like to keep him busy! A singer and actor since high school, Aaron found a way to combine his communications background with his love for the arts: performing as an MC! Aaron’s top priority is to serve the needs of our clients, so whether it’s entertaining us as an MC or organizing the smallest details of your event, he’s guaranteed to make every event unique and memorable.

Raul “Rj KoolRaul” Navalta is quickly becoming one of the most requested DJ’s on the Alan Waltz Entertainment team.

From his start at the age of 12 as a professional aggressive in-line skater, Raul was introduced to Bboying and DJing, and now with over a decade of entertainment experience, Rj KoolRaul has traveled the world teaching, performing, and inspiring youth through his passion for dance and music. He has DJed for local and international dance competitions from the Bay Area to the Philippines and has danced in commercials for Apple and Sony, but it was his involvement as a dance team member of Supreme Soul that has gained him international reknown. Supreme Soul competed as part of “America’s Best Dance Crew”, and as a result, RJ KoolRaul has been asked to host various dance competitions around the world.

RJ KoolRaul is also involved with Soulciety, a California based nonprofit organization that empowers youth through creativity, leadership, and community service, and has since helped create the All the Way Live Foundation with Sergio Suarez and Freya Lim to teach youth around the world about the importance of art and healthy living.

Through his experiences as a performing artist, Rj KoolRaul has been asked to share his story with kids, teens, and young adults from around the world. His background has taught him lessons of perseverence, patience, resiliency, and professionalism. With this knowledge and wisdom, he plans to continue inspiring and educating youth on the processes of pursuing their dreams.

We are so pleased to have RJ KoolRaul as part of the Alan Waltz Entertainment team.

Sergio Suarez is one of the Alan Waltz Entertainment dance team, and if you haven’t seen Sergio in action before, he is like the Tasmanian Devil on the dance floor! We wanted to throw a few questions at Sergio to see if he is as wild one-on-one as he is on the dance floor.

Introduce yourself, and tell us about two interesting (or not so interesting!) facts about you.

My name is Sergio Suarez; in the dance world, I go by “PowerSerge”. I’ve been dancing for the past 18 years, and dancing professionally for the past 10 years.

Who are your top three artists/groups?

My all time favorite artist would have to be Michael Jackson. 
2nd: James Brown 
3rd: The Beatles

How did you start dancing?


I began dancing back in 1994, a few of my school mates began teaching me the “running man”, which than lead to the “Roger Rabbit”, which eventually lead to me spinning on my head (Breakdancing). I am happy to say, I’ve been spinning on my head ever since! (Ed. Note It’s hard to keep him right-side up sometimes!)
 

What do you enjoy most about working on events with Alan Waltz Entertainment?

One of the greatest feelings is being able to share a special moment in a young person’s life. Knowing that “Alan Waltz Entertainment” helped and organize a memory/feeling that will never be forgotten is truly priceless.
