We were contacted by Ileana Sterental just a few weeks’ before her son’s Bar Mitzvah. Ileana was panicking because the DJ she had hired for the party had cancelled at the last minute. Unfortunately, she had hired a “budget DJ” who was only charging $500, but he had cancelled on her because he had been offered a higher paying job. Unfortunately, Ileana is not alone in having this type of thing happen to her: this happens a lot when you go with a “budget DJ.” Sometimes they don’t even show up for the event.

As many of her family was coming from Venezuela, there was no way that she was going to be able to cancel the party at the last minute, so we were pleased that we were able to offer her our services. Luckily, two of our team members, Grady Turner and Ralph Evangelista, were free for her afternoon event, and we were able to step in and save her son’s Bar Mitzvah!

At the Mitzvah at the Crown Plaza Cabana in Palo Alto in mid-February, Ralph spun the tunes and provided a fantastic Latin feel with a great mix of salsa and merengue tunes to keep all of the guests on the dance floor. Grady kept the kids occupied and having fun with lots of games and dancing, and the event was truly a great success!
