Answers to a few of the most commonly asked questions
How many entertainers do I need at my event? The more kids you have attending, the more entertainers you should have at your event. If you're planning a low-key affair, with fewer kids, our 2-person team is usually all you need. If you are planning a larger event (over 40 kids) or if you would like more entertainment, the addition of extra entertainers would add more excitement to your party. Share your ideas with us, we are happy to recommend a package that is right for you. When should I start the Music? We suggest you start the music as soon as the first guests arrive. If you're planning a cocktail hour in a different room from the reception, we can provide a second sound system for uninterrupted music as your guests mingle. What about the Chachkes? Does your package include them? All of our packages include props and prizes for the kid's. We feel these are important items and should be at each event. Included in the package are leis, maracas, streamers, gangster hats, inflatable guitars, inflatable shoes, glowing and blinking rings, funky hats, stunner shades, night glow necklaces and other items that will enhance the performance. Will you help with the planning of my event? People tell us one of the most important services we offer, which is part of hiring us, is the assistance in the planning of your event. We have been involved with hundreds of Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and have a lot of experience that we are happy to share. Wewill help you carefully plan every detail. I know you'll play kids music, but what about the adults? This is where an experienced professional can really make a difference. We like to concentrate on the kid's music that the adults won't dance to during cocktails and game time. Later in the evening, there are many songs we will play that cross over to both generations. Involving the kids in a swing dancing contest, teaching follow-along dances to Motown and Disco favorites, getting the "Band Back Together" for 70's classics are a few of the things that get everyone involved in the dancing. We also utilize interactive line dancing to favorites like, The Cha-Cha Slide, Get down Tonight, Teach Me How to Dougie and the Cupid Shuffle to keep the dance floor moving. Traditional Jewish dances such as Yesh, Mayim and Zemer-Tik will also get all age groups involved. Will you play our requests? YES, ABSOLUETLY! As your Disc Jockey we will play the songs that you've requested and avoid those that you've asked me not to play. We will also take your guests requests as well, with your permission of course, provided they fit within the music we have discussed. Will you play our favorite songs that are not on your play list? If you don't see a particular song on my music list call me, there's a good chance we already have it. If we don't have a song you want to hear we will down load it at no additional charge. We subscribe to a music services that sends us monthly updates of all the current hits, the clean edited versions (no bad language). Our music library is always being updated. What about your sound system, does the music ever get too loud? We believe you should never have to increase thevolume to make up for a lack of energy and excitement at your party. Our sound system is professional, attractive, and compact and delivers high quality coverage. We provide a wireless microphone for all of your announcements and toasts and you will never need to supply cables or tables, only an outlet. For added safety, we take the time to hide all of the wires and cables. What if an emergency should occur, who will be at my event? If we are in the hospital or have a death in the family, we will send you one of several Disc Jockeys in my vast network of talented professionals. In performing events for over 20 years, this has never happened. Do you charge a travel fee? There is never a travel fee for events held in the Bay Area.
